With the Cab & Bed off of the chassis, it was the perfect time to refresh the finish so a beautiful coat of paint in the original factory GM W9086 Gray Blue was applied and buffed to a mirror shine. And if you're going to burn rubber, you're going to have to burn some fuel too so Aeromotive supplied us with one of their new direct fit fuel cells made specifically for the OBS Trucks. And when it's time to slow your roll,Massive 16” 6 piston Wilwood Brakes with Little Shop MFG adapters keep everything in check. To get all this power to the ground a set of custom Budnik 20” alloy rims wrapped in Nitto NT 555's 245/40's up front & 275/35's in the rear. Power is transmitted through a 3200 RPM stall speed Yank Torque Convertor to a GM Performance 4L85E Transmission with a 3.73:1 Yukon Gear & Axle rear end and a Posi-trac limited slip differential. To keep things cool, we went to our good friend Ron Davis for one of his Aluminum Radiators. Connecting the new LS was a breeze with a wiring harness from PSI & Motor Mounts from Dirty Dingo. Custom Magnaflow exhaust delivers a smooth, throaty note and a serpentine belt drive from All-American Billet keeps all the ancillary components turning smoothly. To power this badass truck, we went to Texas Speed & Performance for one of their built 454cid LS based V8's cranking out 675 HP on the dyno while delivering smooth and reliable performance, the choice was easy. Directional Control is provided by an AGR Quick Ratio Steering Box. Ridetech Suspension Coil over components were utilized to insure a straight forward installation with their unique 3 bar wishbone setup out back that allows full articulator while providing maximum control.

We began with the tear down of the Truck, the cab, bed & chassis were separated to begin the process.
